Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co‑Op to accelerate vehicle development through automated CAD workflows and streamlined PLM data pipelines. You will work with core engineers to replace repetitive tasks and contribute to design standards.

The Spring 2027 program runs Jan–Aug and requires full-time, onsite availability for the entire duration. Visa sponsorship is not provided. This role offers exposure to real-world hardware innovation at Rivian.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in an accredited university.
• Major in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or related field preferred.
• Solid fundamentals in GD&T, DFM/DFA.

Responsibilities

• Map and analyze mechanical design and workflows for bottlenecks.
• Develop and test scripts and CAD tools to automate drafting and modeling.
• Streamline PLM data flows and BOM structuring.
• Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements and test tools.
• Create technical docs and train teams on new workflows.
