Job summary

Cumberland County School District is seeking a teacher assistant to support the instructional program at the assigned school. You will assist in supervising and instructing students with special needs, observe and document progress, and help implement instructional plans.

Responsibilities include small-group work to improve ELA and Math skills. Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree or 60 college hours, or a passing Parapro test.

Job description

The job of teacher assistant was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within the assigned school with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision and instruction of special needs students; observing and documenting student progress; implementing plans for instruction; and assisting students in small group settings to increase academic skills in ELA and Math. This job reports to the principal.

Minimum requirements: Associate's degree or 60 semester hours of college credit, from an accredited college or university, or a passing score on the Parapro test.

182 days/7 hours per day
