Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a PLD Development Manager in Alpharetta, GA with extensive firmware and FPGA experience to lead the Hardware Development department. The role focuses on avionics DO-254 projects from concept through certification, requiring strong engineering leadership and strategic planning.

Must have ten years in firmware development and at least three years in management, with a BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Hardware Development department's FPGA Development Team.
• Lead a team of digital hardware engineers on avionics DO-254 projects from concept through certification.
• Design verification and certification of PLD solutions.
• Guide projects from concept through certification, including requirements, FPGA design, implementation, verification, and testing.
• Develop high-level PLD concepts.
• Oversee all department activities: staffing, priorities, PLD processes.
• Execute PLD development projects across Systems, Hardware, Software, Verification, Certification.

WORKSITE: Onsite NOT Remote

MUST HAVE: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE)

MUST HAVE: Ten years of experience in firmware development

MUST HAVE: Three years in a management capacity

EXPERIENCE:

• Manager the Hardware Development department's FPGA Development Team
• Manage a team of digital hardware engineers developing advanced (DO-254) avionics technologies Guiding projects from concept through certification, including requirements definition, FPGA design, implementation, verification, integration testing, and corrective action management
• Design verification, and certification of PLD solutions
• Ensure products are in compliance with program and quality requirementsOversees product development activities
• Develop high-level PLD concepts
• Providing customized engineering estimates (Manpower, Schedule, etc)
• Oversee all department activities (Set staff levels, Set priorities, Establish / Maintain PLD development processes)
• Execute PLD development projects (Systems, Hardware, Software, Verification, Certification)
• Evaluates staff
• Enforcing / Maintaining PLD system

QUALIFICATIONS:
