Hydro Extrusions in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Maintenance/PLC Technician to assist in installation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of PLCs and related automation equipment.

Responsibilities include wiring, PLC/HMI setup, reading electrical schematics, and supporting senior technicians in testing and commissioning. 0–5 years experience and knowledge of ladder logic and Allen‑Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000 are preferred. Shift: 6pm–6am, rotating 3 on/3 off and 4 on/4 off. Hourly pay: $32–$40.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques.
• Knowledge of industrial sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
• Familiarity with digital and analog I/O configuration and verification.
• Basic knowledge of industrial communication networks and PLC-to-device communications.

Responsabilités

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of PLCs and related automation equipment.
• Basic wiring, PLC, and HMI setup.
• Assist in wiring and installation of PLC hardware.
• Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC I/O diagrams.
• Support senior technicians in system testing and commissioning.
• Maintain documentation and logs of work performed.
• Configure, scale, and troubleshoot analog signals and instrumentation.
• Perform basic PLC program uploads, downloads, and online monitoring.
• Use multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment.
