Job summary

Valeo Service in Reno, NV seeks a PLC Technician to support maintenance by troubleshooting and reading ladder logic, and to write PLC code using Rockwell Studio 5000 on active production lines.

The role requires ability to link data gathering apps to Rockwell systems, interpret electrical diagrams from 12V to 480V, and uphold safety, 5S, and change-management practices while guiding subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or PLC technician in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, sensors, industrial automation, and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with programming in engineering environments for PLCs and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Experience with vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, sensors, calibration tools, and high-voltage systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), and safety procedures related to electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance staff with trouble shooting by connecting and reading PLC coding using Studio5000 on active production machines.
• Ability to write/add PLC code using Studio5000 on active production machines.
• Link data gathering applications to Rockwell Automation systems.
• Design or update electrical and pneumatic plans of equipment.
• Manage 3rd party subcontractors and ensure safety and quality standards.
