Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for an on-site role in Bolingbrook, IL. The position involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a range of automation equipment, including photo eyes, prox switches, limit switches, PLCs, HMIs, and 480V power systems.

You will program ladder logic, diagnose messaging protocols (Profibus, serial, Industrial Ethernet), and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with PLCs, servo systems and packaging equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, and limit switches.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls in 480V 3-phase systems; power distribution and motors.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs; modify ladder logic as needed.
• Diagnose communications: Profibus, serial, Industrial Ethernet; verify wiring.
• Perform preventive maintenance on laser-guided vehicles, conveyors, and production lines.

Job description

Location: This position is on-site in Bolingbrook, IL. Please apply only if you live within 37 miles of Bolingbrook.Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
