Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an experienced technician to install, configure and troubleshoot control systems in a manufacturing setting. You will work on PLCs, servo drives, encoders and HMI interfaces to keep production running.

The role requires PLC programming, wiring, and ladder logic changes, plus the ability to diagnose Profibus and industrial Ethernet. Overtime, 2nd/3rd shift availability, and relocation assistance are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with PLCs required.
• Proficiency with servo systems and encoders preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces) preferred.
• PLC programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot PLC input/output modules and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls in 480V 3-phase power systems (motors, drives).
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders, load cells and feedback devices.
• Program PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic.
• Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, Ethernet).
• Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.

Job description

Location: This position is on-site in Bolingbrook, IL. Please apply only if you live within 37 miles of Bolingbrook.Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
