Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a PLC Systems Integration Engineer to lead greenfield PLC programming and on-site commissioning for a major metals and industrial automation project near Huntington, WV.

You will build IO maps and data structures, develop HMI screens, and validate control logic with Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal, while collaborating with electricians and controls technicians. The contract-to-hire role includes a $50–$55/hour DOE, 40-hour weeks, and first shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years creating PLC programs from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal.
• Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and panel schematics.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC standards and safety practices.
• Experience with on-site commissioning and field troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Author PLC programs from ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text.
• Build IO maps, data structures, and program architecture for new systems.
• Develop and connect HMI/SCADA screens with PLC tags and databases.
• Commission on-site: I/O checkout, test sequences, and loop tuning.
• Troubleshoot control-system issues in the field and document work.
• Collaborate with electricians and controls technicians on wiring and panel integration.
