Thrive Project Resources Fremont California

Thrive Project Resources is seeking 10 experienced PLC Programmers for a major EV automotive manufacturing automation project in Fremont, California and for a global diversified manufacturer in Little Rock, AR. These are both onsite programming and commissioning roles requiring strong hands on experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal. Candidates must be capable of independently programming, modifying, troubleshooting, and commissioning automated manufacturing equipment in an active project environment.

Previous Siemens SICAR automation project experience is a significant advantage and will receive priority consideration. Candidates with previous Siemens SICAR experience should clearly identify that experience on their resume, including the facility, project or production area, role, and approximate dates.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal.


• Support startup and commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment.


• Troubleshoot PLC logic, sequences, I/O, communications, sensors, drives, and field devices.


• Review electrical schematics, I/O lists, control documentation, and functional descriptions.


• Perform software modifications and debugging required to achieve equipment functionality and production readiness.


• Support integration of PLC systems with HMIs, drives, safety systems, robotics, sensors, servo systems, and other automated equipment.


• Work closely with controls engineers, electricians, equipment suppliers, and commissioning teams during equipment startup and production ramp.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience programming Siemens PLC systems using TIA Portal is required.


• Previous EV Automotive manufacturing or Siemens SICAR experience is highly preferred.


• Demonstrated experience developing and modifying PLC programs, not simply monitoring PLCs or performing I/O installation.


• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment startup and commissioning is required.


• Strong troubleshooting skills involving PLC logic, I/O, industrial networks, field devices, and equipment sequences.


• Ability to read electrical schematics, I/O lists, control drawings, and equipment documentation.


• Experience with Siemens S7 1500, PROFINET, WinCC, SINAMICS drives, and safety PLC systems is strongly preferred.


• Must have legal U.S. work status.

Compensation and Support

Competitive hourly and overtime rates are available based on experience and qualifications. Project related travel, lodging, car and other assignment support will be addressed based on individual location requirements.
