Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients, and Retail Private Label markets in North America and manufactures quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise, and sauces. Founded in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), the company operates manufacturing facilities in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood and Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA, with corporate offices in Memphis, TN.

This position can work out of any of the company’s locations across the United States.

Job Description

The Corporate Programming Manager provides leadership for Stratas programmers and delivers IT/OT support to all production facilities. The role supports equipment improvement initiatives, continuous improvement, and technical development of new and existing processes and packaging equipment. Working under the immediate manager, the candidate assists in standardizing IT/OT processes and procedures across all facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Travel and fill in/supplement when a Stratas location requires short-term Engineering/Programming assistance
  • Manage and direct plant programmers at all Stratas production facilities.
  • Lead projects ranging from large to small capital, plant improvement, continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability, maintenance, and process standardization.
  • Standardize automation processes throughout Stratas.
  • Assist in writing SOPs and checklists as needed to drive improvements.
  • Lead sustainability projects by capturing all projects and implementing ideas across each facility.
  • Run projects from ideation to completion.
  • Travel 30‑50% of the time; could require up to 70%.
  • Draw conclusions and make recommendations regarding packaging and process improvements.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain process and business network equipment in plants.
  • Act as main point of contact between Corporate IT and Process IT.
  • Act as main point of contact for plant IT and PLC equipment.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Technical Director.

  • Computer skills – demonstrated expertise in engineering, especially in controls programming or troubleshooting.

  • Communication – excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to work well with people.
Qualifications

Education: Degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Related Experience: 5‑10 years of project management and leadership experience; preferred experience leading a centralized center‑of‑excellence function. Knowledge of Microsoft software (Project management, Microsoft Project preferred), Allen Bradley PLC, CMMS such as MP2, and general PC systems.

Physical: Ability to walk up stairways and stand for long periods (2‑4 hours at a time) in the field.

Sensory: Ability to hear, see, speak, smell, and touch well is necessary to perform basic essential tasks.
