As our PLC Programmer, you will help the Operations Team by creating and completing programming for Programmable Logic Controllers. You will develop and implement software applications for our products which help control and monitor one of the world’s most valuable and limited resources – Water! This position will work in our Plymouth, MN location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be to develop PLC code for our automated control systems. Projects will range from working on new panels and MCCs as they are being manufactured in-house, to doing custom modifications for control systems that are currently in operation. You will utilize Microsoft Excel to organize programming functions. You will coordinate with customers on startups and may need to travel to a customer site. You will work independently, but also with a team of programmers to test out programs prior to deployment to the field. You will be expected to work mostly on-site with some hybrid flexibility as you learn the job and our products.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have experience programming PLCs and other programmable devices. You must be proficient using ladder logic and have experience with CompactLogix, MicroLogix, and other industrial control programming applications. A 2-year degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or an equivalent degree, along with 3-5 years of experience, are required.
