Job summary

SKL'D in Georgia is seeking a PLC Production Technician for a hands-on role on the production floor, assembling control panels and electrical equipment to client specifications. You will read electrical schematics, use hand and power tools, and help ensure safety and quality on the line.

The ideal candidate has at least a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year in mechanical assembly or related field, and a valid driver’s license. PLC experience and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, mechanical repair, or related field.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to pass additional background screening if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control panels and equipment to meet client and product specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Use hand and power tools as required.
• Conduct pre-testing quality control and testing of completed systems.
• Assist with routine shop and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow direction from managers, team leads, and Level 3 Technicians.
• Wear proper PPE and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
