PLC Maintenance Technician - manufacturing (Allen Bradley)

Metglas, Inc., located in Conway, SC, is a world-leading producer of Amorphous Metal Ribbon. Since the 1970s, Metglas has pioneered the development and production of amorphous metal, a unique alloy with a random atomic structure. Our proprietary manufacturing process involves rapid solidification of molten alloy at approximately one million degrees Celsius per second.

We are seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians with PLC Allen Bradley experience for our 24/7 amorphous metal manufacturing plant. The role requires working a rotating (swing) shift of 12 hours/day, including weekends and holidays as needed.

The PLC Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting, preventive maintenance, and servicing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal/mechanical systems, and equipment used in production.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Work safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  2. Follow all safety, pollution, and waste regulations and laws.
  3. Support and perform maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and equipment.
  4. Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, and power systems, including digital and analog circuitry, inverters, AC/DC drives, PLC systems, lasers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power distribution.
  5. Maintain mechanical systems such as cranes, balers, casting, winding, and packaging machines.
  6. Develop and utilize troubleshooting guides and assist with failure analysis.
  7. Assist in writing work instructions and procedures.
  8. Use the CMMS system to schedule and complete predictive and proactive maintenance tasks.
  9. Operate welding, cutting, and burning equipment as needed.
  10. Participate as a member of the emergency response team.

*This position involves a rotating 12-hour shift (days and nights), which may change as needed.

This role requires compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations. Candidates must be U.S. Persons, as defined under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 and 15 C.F.R. § 772.1, and must provide proof of status.
