Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a PLC/HMI Programmer to design, develop, test, and implement control systems for four extraction wells integrated with a central wastewater facility in Paducah, KY. The role spans design through commissioning with hybrid on-site and remote work options.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on Rockwell PLC/HMI experience, be able to develop control logic and operator interfaces, and prepare comprehensive documentation and training materials for customer

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience designing, programming, installing, testing, and commissioning industrial PLC/HMI control systems.
Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI hardware and programming software.
Ability to travel to Paducah, KY as required.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the customer and project team to define control system requirements and deliverables.
Design PLC/HMI control system architecture and panels using Rockwell components.
Develop, configure, and maintain PLC/HMI programming for extraction wells and central facility.
Prepare control narratives, I/O docs, and programming documentation for design and implementation.
Support or perform control panel fabrication and assembly as needed.
Install and integrate control system hardware and software and test communications.
Develop test plans for system verification, startup, and commissioning.
Create user guides and operating documentation for the delivered software.
Provide initial customer training on PLC/HMI interfaces.
Maintain configuration control of software and design files.
Coordinate hybrid work and travel for kickoff and commissioning.
