Job summary
Aquatech seeks an Instrument and Controls Technician for our Pasadena, TX service center, full-time, day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm). The role focuses on troubleshooting electrical equipment, PLC/HMI maintenance, calibration, and coordination with subcontractors.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience in water treatment or industrial plants, a technical school degree, strong problem solving, and teamwork. Industrial experience with ion exchange or RO is a plus.
Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of relevant experience.
- Technical School Degree preferred.
- Experience in water treatment or industrial plants is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment such as motors, VFDs, and motorized valves.
- Perform continuity, Megger, or ground fault testing.
- Maintain Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI for machine-mounted controls.
- Calibrate instruments, analyzers, and valve positioners.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for outside work.
- Prepare calibration and maintenance reports.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and lead electrical upkeep.
- Housekeeping duties as needed.
