Job summary

Prysmian is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, modify, and sustain Allen‑Bradley PLC/HMI programs and achieve reliable plant operations. You will lead SCADA deployments, data acquisition, and network integration across production lines, collaborating with maintenance and engineering to improve uptime.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing controls, strong Studio 5000, HMI, and Ethernet/IP skills, and are comfortable working on the factory floor in a fast‑paced

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing controls engineering.
  • Strong with Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000, and Ethernet/IP.
  • HMI development/troubleshooting using FactoryTalk View, InTouch, Red Lion, Ignition, or comparable tools.
  • Industrial networking knowledge: IP addressing, managed switches, VLANs, and protocols.
  • Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause skills.
  • Comfort working on the production floor in support of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, and sustain PLC/HMI programs for plant systems.
  • Lead SCADA architecture and deploy plant‑wide dashboards and data acquisition.
  • Configure PLC‑to‑SCADA communication and historian structures.
  • Drive changes with robust, auditable methods and risk mitigations.
  • Partner with maintenance to improve uptime and safety.
