Job summary

IT8 USA Corporation, headquartered in Pflugerville, TX, seeks a PLC Manager to lead and mentor a team of programmers and engineers. The role focuses on welding/assembly automation lines, project management, and hands-on control system design.

The position requires travel (25–30%), strong client communication, and a background in automotive or manufacturing environments. Fluency in Spanish is preferred and NA market experience is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, or controls engineering.
3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Must have at least 5 years experience in North American market and Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead PLC programmers, controls engineers, technicians, and automation staff.
Oversee PLC, safety PLC, and HMI programming for industrial automation.
Manage projects through planning, execution, commissioning, startup and completion.
Monitor timelines, resources, productivity and deliverables.
Troubleshoot complex electrical, robotic, and automation issues.
Interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
Coordinate robot integration and automation systems in manufacturing.
Produce project status reports and technical documentation.
