Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and electronic systems on packaging machinery at our facilities.

Candidates should be able to work from schematics and PLC programs, adhering to applicable electrical codes. Responsibilities include maintaining wiring, motors, drives, and instrumentation, documenting issues, and collaborating with plant teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair, maintain and install electrical/electronic systems on packaging machinery.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley / Omron / Direct Logic PLCs and integrated software to analyze systems.
• Follow all local, state and federal electrical codes.
• Document problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring; build, program, and troubleshoot PLC and servo motors.
• Use test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power systems.
• Troubleshoot, test and repair techniques; repair high frequency drives and motors.
• Perform maintenance of high-speed assembly machines; participate in project teams as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment and housekeeping; work across departments as required.

Typical Duties

1. Trouble shoot, repair, maintain and installation of electrical/electronic systems on our packaging machinery
2. Knowledge of Allen Bradley / Omron / Direct Logic PLC’s and integrated Window software to analyze systems
3. Follow all local, state and federal electrical codes
4. Documenting problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems
5. Install, maintain, new and existing electrical wiring within the facility. Ability to build, program, and troubleshoot PCL and / or Servo motors
6. Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power systems.
7. Knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques
8. Computer literacy. Working knowledge of all software packages relevant to successful performance of tasks
9. Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with automation and power systems
10. Repair circuits, replace contactors and switches, wiring new electrical panels
11. Troubleshooting and repair high frequency drives
12. Rebuilding, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing AC and DC electrical motors, circuits, controllers, electronic devices
13. Troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
14. Knowledge of vacuum pumps and systems, material handling systems
15. Repair and maintenance of high-speed assembly machines
16. Participating, as requested, in plant or company project teams
17. Maintaining Safe Working Environment
18. Maintain Housekeeping and Orderliness
19. Must be available to work any shift
20. Production line programing
21. Undertones SQF and SQF responsibilities as assigned
22. Maintain quality standards as prescribed by Management.
23. Do other work as assigned by supervision. May be required to work in other departments and on related jobs.
