Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a maintenance electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and electronic systems on packaging machinery.

You will work with PLCs, servo motors, and power systems, adhering to local and national codes while documenting issues and performing preventive maintenance. The role requires strong electrical skills, familiarity with Allen Bradley, Omron, and Direct Logic PLCs, and the ability to work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install electrical/electronic systems on packaging machinery
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley / Omron / Direct Logic PLCs and Windows software to analyze systems
• Follow all local, state and federal electrical codes
• Document problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems
• Install, maintain, new and existing electrical wiring; build, program and troubleshoot PLC and/or servo motors
• Use test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power systems
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques
• Computer literacy; operate software packages relevant to tasks
• Adhere to safety precautions related to automation and power systems
• Repair circuits, replace contactors and switches, wire new electrical panels
• Troubleshooting and repair high frequency drives
• Rebuild, troubleshoot, repair and replace AC and DC motors, circuits, controllers
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
• Knowledge of vacuum pumps and material handling systems
• Repair and maintenance of high-speed assembly machines
• Participate in plant or company project teams
• Maintain safe working environment
• Maintain housekeeping and orderliness
• Must be available to work any shift
• Production line programming
• Understand SQF responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain quality standards as prescribed by Management
• Do other work as assigned by supervision; may work in other departments

Typical Duties

• 1. Trouble shoot, repair, maintain and installation of electrical/electronic systems on our packaging machinery


• 2. Knowledge of Allen Bradley / Omron / Direct Logic PLC's and integrated Window software to analyze systems


• 3. Follow all local, state and federal electrical codes


• 4. Documenting problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems


• 5. Install, maintain, new and existing electrical wiring within the facility. Ability to build, program, and troubleshoot PCL and / or Servo motors


• 6. Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power systems.


• 7. Knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques


• 8. Computer literacy. Working knowledge of all software packages relevant to successful performance of tasks
