Ventra is accepting applications for a PLC/Controls Technician Apprenticeship Program in Grand Rapids, MI. This five-year program blends supervised on-the-job learning with related classroom instruction to develop skilled trades capabilities.

The apprenticeship includes 10,000 hours of hands-on learning and 1,274 hours of related instruction, with a 1,000-hour probationary period to be completed successfully.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Must be able to work in production for 90 days before starting the apprenticeship.
• Attendance record < 2 points at application time; no 12-month disciplinary actions except verbal warnings.

Responsabilidades

• Learn electrical safety, schematic reading, industrial wiring, panel components and systematic circuit troubleshooting.
• Diagnose motors, drives, sensors, instrumentation, input/output signals and automated equipment under supervision.
• Build skills in PLC hardware, ladder logic, HMI systems, industrial networks and robotics.
• Help restore equipment safely and maintain backups, change documentation and controls records.
