Job summary

CTC in Louisville, KY seeks an experienced maintenance technician with PLC expertise to review specs, install equipment, and drive improvements. You will partner with vendors to ensure safety, quality, and productivity while supporting kanban and training for NAMC teams.

Expect up to 50% travel (including international) and up to 30% overtime. A 2-year technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience is required, with strong reading of drawings and electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

2 years of PLC programming/troubleshooting experience.
Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens/Omron/Mitsubishi/Allen-Bradley).
Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in maintenance.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
Willingness to travel up to 50% (including international).
Overtime availability up to 30% when required.
Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Review equipment specs and design; identify improvements and conduct vendor buyoffs.
Install equipment and verify safety, quality, and productivity.
Investigate modifications and implement trials and adjustments.
Reduce costs/time by coordinating vendor pre-install safety and quality checks.
Oversee installation by vendor and support kanban processes.
Improve quality and productivity via online vehicle trials adjustments.
Verify quality with secondary methods (Torque checks, vacuum profiles).
Install, setup, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley programmable controllers.
Provide training to maintenance on new equipment.
Share SME knowledge with NAMC Maintenance and Production teams.
