Job summary

Ursa Major Event Management & Consultancy seeks a Controls Engineer II (PLC) to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of automated propulsion production equipment. You will integrate motion systems, PLCs, and SCADA across multi-campus facilities, collaborating with Manufacturing, Test, Quality, Safety, and product owners.

Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and safety-first design is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in an engineering field; Mechatronic/chemical/mechanical preferred.
• Experience designing single/multi-axis motion systems.
• Experience with test/process system design or related role.
• Experience working with PLCs (Siemens S7 or other).
• Ability to work with personnel-operated and unattended equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated production equipment and facilities.
• Integrate motion systems and third-party solutions into control platforms.
• Integrate PLC-based equipment into the SCADA layer.
• Participate in commissioning and field support.
• Generate electrical schematics, P&ID, manuals, and work instructions.
• Contribute to internal production equipment standards and documentation.
