Together, our team combines fresh perspectives with deep industry experience to solve real-world problems for our customers. We move fast and think practically. If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.

What you’ll do

As a Product Manager – MDC (Mobile Data Center) Control Systems, you’ll lead the development and launch of our next-generation remote control and monitoring platform. You’ll drive the integration of a cloud-based system that enables secure, scalable management of our modular data centers in the field. This is a critical role at the intersection of software, hardware, and industrial IoT with a high degree of ownership and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work with Engineering, Vendors, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver innovative, reliable solutions that expand the functionality, intelligence, and value of our MDC product line.

If you're excited to build in a frontier environment and lead product development on systems that power the physical backbone of modern compute infrastructure, this is the role for you.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco or Houston offices. You must be willing to work in the office full-time, outside of our bi-weekly WFH Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for cloud-based control and monitoring systems for Giga’s Mobile Data Centers (MDCs).
  • Collaborate with engineering, hardware, and external vendors to drive integration of IoT systems, API architecture, cybersecurity protocols, and data pipelines.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear product specs aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Lead end-to-end product development, from concept to launch, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and with high quality.
  • Conduct market and customer research to stay ahead of trends in industrial IoT, edge computing, and remote monitoring systems.
  • Define and track key success metrics for system performance, uptime, user adoption, and customer impact.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to communicate features, create enablement materials, and gather customer feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with cloud platforms, industrial IoT, or control systems.
  • Strong technical background with working knowledge of API integration, embedded systems, and network protocols.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles related to remote monitoring/control systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience building or integrating SCADA, PLC, or industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with MQTT, OPC UA, or Modbus protocols.
  • Background in data center infrastructure or remote asset monitoring.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.
  • Prior work in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Monthly team onsites where all offices come in–person to collaborate
