Job summary

Peace River Citrus Products, Inc. in Bartow, FL seeks a Controls Automation Technician (PLC) for day shift to support plant operations. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair automation and control systems, run tests, calibrate instrumentation and perform preventive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in integration/maintenance with PLCs, HMIs, servos and VFDs, reads P&ID and schematics, and can work 12-hour shifts with safety as a priority. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Three years of integration/maintenance background including PLCs, HMIs, Servos, VFDs, electricals.
Able to read one-line diagrams, P&ID, blueprints and schematics.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willing to work flexible 12-hour shifts.
Not color-blind.
Able to use computer and software.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret PLC code, schematics, ladder and P&ID diagrams.
Understand PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, sensors and industrial control systems.
Install electrical components and wiring, test to ensure proper operation and safety.
Troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet, DeviceNET, ControlNET).
Record parts and materials in CMMS and update asset histories.
Assist with maintenance work scheduling and plant GMP compliance.
