Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking an automation engineer to troubleshoot PLC and computer systems across multiple plants. The role oversees projects, procures equipment, and develops new process controls while supporting maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–5 years of related experience. The position involves safety compliance and collaboration with corporate IT on system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs and automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot all current PLC and computer related processes.
• Project management, purchasing, and supervision of contractors for all projects to assure completion on a timely basis within budget.
• Create all new programs, process controls, and computer related systems.
• Assist the maintenance department in preventative maintenance duties.
• Assist the engineering department in the development of new processes.
• Assist the engineering department in cost reduction projects involving automation.
