Job summary

GBIT (Global Bridge InfoTech Inc) is seeking a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer in Richardson, TX who will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web apps using Playwright and TypeScript.

You will create functional, regression, and end-to-end tests, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with developers, and contribute to QA process improvements in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end‑to‑end test cases.
• Develop and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar defect management systems.
• Perform API testing and validate RESTful services.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain test data, test documentation, and automation best practices.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
• Review application requirements and identify potential risks and edge cases.
