Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Schools Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School-Glendale is seeking a dedicated Playground Supervisor to oversee students during recess and lunch, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive behavior in a Catholic school setting.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively, enjoys working with children, and can foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Hours are Monday–Friday, 10:20–12:20, part-time. Starting date: immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to enforce school rules in a fair and consistent manner.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment working with children.
• Willingness to support the mission and philosophy of a Catholic school.
• Safe Environment Training.
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance Card (required).
• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during recess and lunch periods, ensuring their safety and monitoring behavior in accordance with school rules.
• Help students resolve conflicts and encourage positive social interactions.
• Maintain a visible and active presence on the playground and in lunch areas.
• Follow school procedures and respond appropriately to student needs or incidents.
• Report any concerns, injuries, or behavioral issues to teachers and/or school administration.
• Interact courteously and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time and maintaining consistent attendance.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by school administration.
