Job summary

City of Berkeley is seeking a Playground Leader Trainee (Non-Career) in the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department to help lead children in recreations activities.

During the school year, trainees may work in Afterschool Programs, Special Events, and Building Monitoring; in summer, assignments include Tots, Pre-K, Teen programs, playground programs, Berkeley Day Camp or youth sports. Minimum: sophomore year + 16 by appointment date.

Qualifications

• Completion of sophomore year of high school and 16 years of age by date of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading children in recreation activities.
• During summer, may be assigned to Tots, Pre-K, Teen programs, playground programs, Berkeley Day Camp or youth sports.
