The City of Glendale Parks and Recreation Department is divided into two divisions:
Operates heavy construction equipment within the Parks Division and performs semi-skilled to skilled work related to construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair in assigned areas.
This position is FLSA non-exempt, earning overtime for hours over 40 per week. It is classified as Grade 313 with an annual salary range of $49,446.02 to $74,196.16.

Participates in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) with a current contribution rate of 12.27%, deducted each pay period.

Minimum of two years' experience operating heavy construction equipment, with at least one year in fence installation and concrete work. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of playground safety, heavy equipment operation, hazards, traffic laws, fencing, and concrete pouring. Ability to test and recertify as a Certified Playground Safety Inspector, perform heavy lifting, work at heights, and communicate effectively.
This position involves climbing, bending, crawling, lifting up to 75 lbs, and working in adverse conditions like heavy traffic, dust, and extreme weather.
