Open Door Preschools - Austin is seeking a compassionate Toddler Teacher to join our play-based program. We nurture the whole child and are accredited by Texas Rising Star, encouraging social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through responsive care.

You will plan child-led activities, observe development, and collaborate with families and co-teachers to create engaging learning experiences that align with each child’s interests.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or in progress) preferred.
• Experience with toddlers in play-based settings.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and social-emotional learning.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and reflective teaching practices.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Aufgaben

• Create a warm, inclusive, safe classroom where children feel respected and empowered.
• Plan and implement child-led, play-based experiences promoting exploration and independence.
• Support the whole child by integrating social-emotional learning into daily routines and play.
• Observe and document development to inform curriculum and family communication.
• Collaborate with co-teachers to design engaging, responsive learning experiences.
• Build strong relationships with families through open communication and partnerships.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to accreditation standards.
