Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Playcenter Attendant to care for children ages three months to twelve years and lead engaging activities, while ensuring safety and compliance with branch policies.

You will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment, support youth development, and uphold the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, with CPR/First Aid and safety training emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience working with youth in structured settings is preferred.
• CPR certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
• Exemplify YMCA ideals, character values and leadership qualities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build committed and connected relationships with members, volunteers and partners.
• Maintain privacy by not sharing member information.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures in the training manual.
• Communicate positively with members, guests and program participants; provide help as needed.
• Participate in annual branch campaigns and achieve related goals.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure program spaces stay clean.
