Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Play Center Attendant at the Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA in Norcross to provide care for children from 3 months to 12 years and lead engaging activities in a safe, welcoming environment.

Under the Youth Development Director, you will support literacy and STEAM‑infused learning, follow branch safety protocols, and obtain CPR certification within 30 days of start. A caring, customer‑service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to work with youth in a structured setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise children professionally and with care.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and lead activities for children aged 3 months to 12 years.
• Ensure safety and well‑being of children and assist guardians as needed.
• Follow YMCA policies, safety protocols, and COVID‑19 guidelines.
• Assist with program activities such as crafts, games, and enrichment.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with parents.
