Job summary

Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue is seeking a committed Play Worker to support pupils across lunchtimes, providing access to play equipment and promoting imaginative play in line with Opal Play.

You will work closely with support and lunchtime staff to ensure a safe, inclusive environment where pupils enjoy a range of play activities and develop social and creative skills during the midday break.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above.
• Experience of supporting pupils with lunch time play.
• Awareness of Child Safeguarding.
• Ability to effectively communicate with pupils and staff and ensure access to a variety of play equipment to develop imaginative play.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across lunchtimes to access play equipment.
• Work with lunchtime staff to supervise activities.
• Encourage imaginative play and inclusive participation.
• Promote pupil safety and safeguarding during playtime.
