Ellie Mental Health in North Richland Hills, TX seeks a Play Therapist (Licensed or Pre-Licensed) to deliver play-based therapy for children aged 3–12. You will craft personalized treatment plans, collaborate with families and school teams, and contribute to a supportive, clinician-first environment.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, strong knowledge of child development, and evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral science or related field (accredited).
• Pre-licensed: LPC-Associate, LMSW, LMFT-Associate with active licensure pursuit and 2+ years experience.
• Fully licensed: LPC, LCSW, LMFT (caseload optional).
• 1–2 years of individual therapy experience with children aged 3–12.
• Knowledge of play therapy techniques and developmentally appropriate interventions.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic assessments using the DSM-5.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a caseload of 27+ sessions per week (full-time).
• Provide child-centered, developmentally appropriate therapy.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and medical providers.
• Document accurately and timely; participate in meetings and trainings.
• Proficient use of EHR systems.
