Defined Fitness Play Team Member is a part-time role based at our Santa Fe clubs. You will supervise and ensure safety of children while members are using the facility, creating a fun, educational environment.

You will lead age-appropriate activities, maintain cleanliness, greet families, document incidents, and uphold safety standards. CPR/AED certification and strong communication are required. This position offers employee perks like free childcare during shifts and gym access.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children aged 10 months to 12 years.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/AED certification for infant and child required by start date.
• Adhere to safety rules, including no phone use, to ensure children's safety.

Position Overview

As a member of the Defined Fitness Play Team, you will be part of a community of difference makers, movers and shakers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our team members and members. The Play Team Member is responsible for interacting with and ensuring the safety of the children while club members are using the facility. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children. You are to come up with creative and educational activities, while maintaining a clean environment for the children and demonstrating the following qualities:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Encourage a healthy active lifestyle through appropriate play, games and interaction
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and healthy environment
• Clean toys, play area, restrooms, etc. daily
• Interact/greet children by name and comfort them throughout their visit
• Interact/greet with parents/caregivers by name and give feedback on children’s behavior
• Maintain patience and common sense with children in the facility
• Ability to mediate and manage conflict effectively among children
• Initiate parent paging, when necessary
• Document and report basic incidents in writing
• Ensure parents complete all necessary paperwork according to procedures
• Diligently monitor child drop off and pick up – SAFETY IS #1

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 10 months to 12 years of age
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Valid CPR/AED certification, infant and child, by first day of employment and maintain throughout employment
• Adhere to safety rules/guidelines, including zero tolerance for phone usage, and take necessary precautions to ensure safety of children in the Kids Club
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
• Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
• Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
