Job summary

SAL Community Services is hiring an Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher at Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers. The role supports the Teacher in creating a developmentally appropriate learning environment and helps engage children in activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth.

You will assist with lesson plans, maintain family communication, ensure safety, and contribute to continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Background clearances required.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Teacher in creating a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Engage children in activities to support physical, emotional, cognitive and social growth.
• Assist in curriculum implementation and maintain regular family communication.
• Ensure safety practices and a positive, inclusive classroom.
• Assist in designing and implementing lesson plans based on children's interests.
