Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electroplating or metal finishing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling and hazardous material safety.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and technical specs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, mask, rack, and prepare metal components for plating using chemical, mechanical, and manual processes to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Plating Operations: Operate plating equipment and tanks according to established procedures and specifications.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor chemical baths, solution levels, temperatures, and current densities to maintain process control.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished parts for thickness, adhesion, coverage, and cosmetic standards using measuring instruments.
• Documentation: Record production data, chemical usage, test results, and process adjustments in accordance with requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plating tanks, rectifiers, filtration systems, and related equipment.
• Environmental & Safety Compliance: Follow environmental regulations and safety protocols, including PPE usage and waste disposal.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve plating efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.
