JobSquad is seeking a Plating Technician for the Fort Wayne, IN area to operate plating processes on the 3rd shift. The role pays $17.00 per hour and runs 8PM to 6AM, Monday through Thursday, with benefits as described.

You will read work orders and drawings, fixture and process products, perform maintenance, ensure safety, and document process data. A high school diploma or GED is required, and strong attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow work orders and engineering drawings.
  • Prepare, fixture, and process products through the plating process.
  • Perform all duties related to product processing and grit recovery.
  • Conduct daily maintenance and cleaning of tanks, fixtures, and plating department equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations, including proper use of PPE.
  • Report time and material usage in manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain equipment and tooling to ensure proper operation.
  • Keep accurate records of plating activities and process data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Plating Technician 3rd shift to work at a company located in the Fort Wayne, IN area! Job Title: Plating Technician 3rd shift Job Location: Fort Wayne Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $17.00 8PM – 6AM (Mon-Thurs)

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Read, understand, and follow work orders and engineering drawings.
  • Prepare, fixture, and process products through the plating process.
  • Perform all duties related to product processing and grit recovery.

Physical Demands
  • Regular exposure to nickel plating baths, solder flux, mineral spirits, acids, coolant, and stop-off maskants.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking; occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Use of hands, fingers, and arms for grasping, reaching, and handling materials.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Potential for long shifts and/or weekend work
