Job summary

PacAero in Mission, KS is seeking a Plating Technician to support all plating activities. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plating baths and equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.

You will monitor conditions, document data, process parts in various nickel and gold finishes, follow safety and quality procedures, and work with team to meet product standards. This role requires physical tasks, reliability, and willingness to learn in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher required or preferred.
  • Willingness to learn plating processes and chemistry basics.
  • Reliable and eager to learn with strong work ethic.
  • Team oriented with good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds with PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plating baths and record data daily or hourly as needed.
  • Process parts in Electroless Nickel, Electrolytic Nickel, Gold finishes.
  • Follow safety, quality, and company procedures in all tasks.
  • Troubleshoot processes to meet product specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB POSTING: Plating Technician
Job Details:

Legacy Technologies LLC dba PacAero is looking for a plating technician to support all levels of plating activities for PacAero Mission. This position will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plating baths and equipment throughout the plating department, ensuring efficient and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor operating conditions of plating baths and record data in excel daily and in some cases hourly.
  • Process parts in Electroless Nickel, Electrolytic Nickel, Gold
  • Observe all Safety Practices, Company Policies, & Quality Management Procedures related to department function.
  • Follow all procedures as outlined in detailed work instructions or flow charts
  • Troubleshoot processes as needed to ensure product meets requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of, or desire to learn basic chemistry.
  • Desire to complete work to achieve a quality finished product.
  • Display the ability to work as a team player with an excellent work ethic
  • Must be capable of lifting and transporting materials & production parts weighing up to 50 pounds during a daily work shift.
  • Previous experience in general chemistry solution analysis is a plus but not necessary.
  • Must be able to work with and handle chemicals daily with company provided personal protective equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or Higher desired.
  • Must be reliable and eager to learn how to provide good product consistently.
  • Previous work experience in a plating environment is a plus but not required.
  • Values must align with established team culture and contribute to team camaraderie.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Required to report to work punctually as scheduled and to work all scheduled hours.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move between and around the plating floor/department and other departments as needed.
