Job summary

GW Lisk Company Inc is seeking a Plating Operator in New York. The position requires training on the 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F) for 4-6 weeks, then moves to the 2nd shift (4:00pm-2:30am, Mon-Thu) with a 15% shift differential.

You will operate plating tanks, handle coatings, and ensure quality and safety throughout production. Responsibilities include plating, coating and passivating metal parts using chemical solutions, interpreting production documents, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions.

Overview:

As a Plating Operator you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on setting up, operating and tending to plating tanks.

Responsibilities

Job duties include plating, coating and passivating metal parts using various chemical solutions to meet specification and customer requirements. Understanding chemistry is a plus but training will be provided. Work environment requires personal protective equipment: safety glasses, gloves, apron etc. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Experience

Ability to read and write in order to interpret production documents and accurately record required information such as part number, lot number, special instructions and process sequences. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a learned method or calculator. Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work direction and accurately manufacture products.

Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience
