Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Technician to serve as the primary chemist for the Plating Chem‑Lab. You will collaborate on maintaining cleaning, activation, and plating tanks through chemical analysis and additions, while supporting EHS and production as needed.

The role requires performing titrations, pH and specific gravity checks, ICP concentration measurements, Hull cell tests, and inventory tasks, all within predefined safety and quality parameters.

Qualifications

• Follows safety guidelines and procedures in a chemical lab.
• Performs titrations and pH measurements on plating baths.
• Assists in hazardous materials management and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Executes chemical titrations on plating, activation, and cleaning baths according to the analysis schedule.
• Performs pH measurements on plating, activation, and cleaning baths.
• Measures specific gravity on plating baths as defined by schedule.
• Performs concentration measurements using ICP.
• Conducts Hull cell testing as required per schedule.
• Maintains safe practices and supports chemical inventory.
• Performs chemical process maintenance such as carbon treatment and dummy plating.
• Provides support to other departments including EHS and production.
