Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Plating Department in New York. You will lead plating floor personnel across shifts, drive production flow, and ensure on-time delivery while working directly with our Leadership Team on growth opportunities.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, initiative, and clear communication. Proficiency in Excel and daily operations documentation is essential to schedule, monitor progress, and coordinate with other departments

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing people across departments and shifts.
• Strong leadership drive, accountability, and the ability to hold difficult conversations professionally.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation; able to work independently without micromanagement.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets, reports) and email systems.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify problems to their root cause and implement corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage plating floor personnel across multiple shifts and departments, ensuring employees remain on task and focused on productivity.
• Set clear expectations, hold people accountable, and follow up to ensure tasks are completed.
• Address performance or attendance issues directly and professionally.
• Identify problems and take immediate initiative to address issues on the floor.
• Assist with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and monitoring progress to avoid bottlenecks.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding staffing and production needs.
• Perform regular facility walkthroughs to monitor operations, safety and organization.
• Maintain Excel-based reports and communicate progress to internal teams.
• Communicate with customers regarding order status and production scheduling.
