Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Full-time Plating team member to support our national account plating needs. You will be involved in product sourcing, ordering, receiving, shipping, packaging, customer service and logistics, with a potential for a flexible schedule after onboarding and meeting performance goals.

This role requires collaboration with branch personnel and plating vendors, adherence to safety, and a proactive approach to drive efficiency and service for our customers.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with ability to drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to pass the required drug test (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).
• Preferred: forklift experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of Fastenal's work order system.

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Plating, you will help support our large National account plating needs. You will be involved in product sourcing, ordering, receiving, shipping, packaging, customer service and logistics. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting plating needs for customer
• Sourcing, ordering and tracking product
• Using our work order system
• Receiving product
• Transferring of unfinished and finished goods
• Working closely with branch personnel
• Working closely with our plating vendors

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule

• Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience operating a forklift
