Job summary

IPTA, based in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, manage and maintain virtualized systems, ensuring data integrity, availability and security. You will work with leadership and the architect team to design virtualization strategies to meet mission requirements and provide technical support for information systems components.

The role requires a BS in CS/Engineering or related field, 10 years in a similar role, DoD 8570 Level II/III (designed),

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
10 years of experience in a similar role.
DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired.
VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
Active Security Clearance Required
Experience in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Engineer, deploy, and support VMware ESXi, vCenter, and enterprise server infrastructure.
Install and maintain server hardware and ESXi platform.
Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance performance and efficiency.
Maintain cybersecurity while reducing system complexity.
Support VMware technologies including vSAN, vROps, and NSX.
Monitor virtualization performance and resolve issues.
Document data center layout, systems, and processes.
