Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Platform Technical Support Engineer for its Government Cloud customer engineering team. You will own Mission Critical Support cases across severities, partnering with Worldwide Support, R&D, and Support Operations.

This role may require shift work outside normal business hours to support our global customers. You will troubleshoot issues spanning web tiers, databases, integrations, and Salesforce-specific technologies, and collaborate across teams to resolve high-severity

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical support or services role.
• Familiar with internet technologies (firewalls, web servers, proxy servers) and relational databases, SQL, object-oriented design, XML, and SOAP web services.
• Strong frontend and backend development exposure (JS/HTML/CSS; Java/.NET/SQL).
• Apex/Visualforce experience or Salesforce CRM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned support cases end-to-end as a Salesforce platform expert.
• Troubleshoot issues across web tiers, databases, integrations, and Salesforce technologies.
• Collaborate with Worldwide Support, R&D, and Support Operations to resolve high-severity cases.
• Provide shift-based coverage to meet global customer needs.
