Job summary

Stifel is seeking a Technical Product Owner to own and refine the platform backlog for shared capabilities such as CI/CD and cloud infrastructure. You will bridge platform consumers including application teams with Cloud Platform Engineering, security, and architecture to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable services.

You will work two to four sprints ahead to maintain predictable delivery and partner with product managers to define outcomes, metrics, and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum: 5+ years in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or software engineering.
• Preferred: Experience in financial services or a regulated industry.
• Preferred: Experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments and supporting infra, DevOps, or cloud engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own, refine, and prioritize the platform backlog balancing developer experience, security, reliability, and scalability.
• Translate platform capabilities and guardrails into clear, well-defined technical user stories and enablers.
• Ensure backlog items are right-sized, sprint-ready, with production-ready stories for iteration planning.
