Job summary

Faraday Future in Fremont, CA seeks a Portal & Infrastructure Tech Lead to own the FF EAI Brain Developer Open Platform. You will define APIs/SDKs, lead the engineering team, and ensure scalable developer-facing capabilities across motion, perception, and decision-making.

The role requires deep API design experience, multi-language SDKs, and a track record of guiding external developers. You will interface with robotics, cloud, product, and security teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with 3+ years in a leadership role on a platform or API product.
• Experience building systems used by a substantial external developer community.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Software Eng, Robotics, or related field.
• Deep hands-on expertise in RESTful and/or gRPC APIs at scale, multi-language SDKs, API gateway and developer portal infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ROS/ROS2, real-time embedded software, and security for externally-facing infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead teams, set direction, and communicate complex architecture clearly.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Technical Strategy for the FF EAI Brain Open Platform.
• Lead API & SDK engineering for robotics APIs and multi-language SDKs.
• Oversee Developer Portal architecture, API key management, and sandboxing.
• Collaborate with robotics R&D to define clean abstraction layers for external use.
• Uphold engineering standards, testing regimes, and security practices.
• Build and grow a high-performing platform engineering team.
• Engage with strategic developer partners on integration architecture.
