Job summary

Symbotic is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to define and drive the technical direction of core Symbotic systems, focusing on vertical lift cells and real-time orchestration. You will own design, architecture, and cross-team execution to improve throughput and reliability.

You will lead high-impact initiatives from concept through delivery, mentor senior engineers, and work across teams to optimize performance in hardware-adjacent environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in system design, distributed systems, and performance.
• Strong C# / .NET skills or ability to ramp quickly.
• Experience with complex, production-scale systems.
• Experience in hardware-adjacent environments.
• Comfort with algorithms and optimization problems.
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and cross-team outcomes.
