Job summary

LTIMindtree in Folsom, CA is seeking a Platform Support Technician to support system boards and related hardware in an on-site environment. You will assemble computer systems, flash BIOS, install Windows and Linux, and debug bring-up issues.

Responsibilities include configuring BIOS/firmware, wiring lab racks, setting up test benches, and triaging test data. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Computer Client server hardware architecture.
• Ability to assemble computer systems using various hardware components.
• Ability to debug issues in computer system bringup.
• Ability to flash BIOS install Operating Systems Windows/Linux install Firmware and Drivers disk partitioning configuring networks and debug associated issues.
• Ability to socket CPUs.
• Ability to organize lab space and infrastructure for a given project network and power cabling test benchrack setup etc.
• Knowledge on test and measurement equipment DMM Oscilloscopes Logic analyzers Network analyzers Power meters associated probescables etc.
• Working knowledge of BIOS various Firmware and Drivers and their interaction with Operating System etc.
• Ability to do configuration changes at BIOS Firmware level.
• Knowledge on scripting Python Shell etc.
• Ability to make changes to test automation scripts.
• Ability to setup test and measurement equipment for a given test.
• Triage test data and debug test setupconfiguration related issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test computer systems.
• Debug bring-up issues and BIOS/firmware interactions.
• Configure BIOS/firmware and install OSes (Windows/Linux).
• Set up lab space and test benches with proper cabling.
• Operate and troubleshoot test equipment (DMM, scopes, analyzers).
• Triage data and debug test configurations.
