Job summary

Charles Schwab in Southlake, TX is seeking a Platform Support Data Engineer to ensure resiliency, stability, and performance of enterprise data platforms. You will partner with engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to support deployment pipelines and database environments, advancing automation and DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting production challenges, improving platform performance, monitoring, and contributing to operational excellence.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, software deployment pipelines, database platforms, or related technology environments.
3+ years of experience performing database administration, database troubleshooting, performance tuning, or database operations activities.
Experience supporting software releases, release engineering processes, and application configuration management.
Experience implementing automation solutions and supporting DevOps practices that improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
Experience monitoring applications and platforms and using operational metrics to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Knowledge of software development lifecycles, infrastructure technologies, databases, operating systems, networking, and application support best practices.
Experience working in Agile environments and partnering effectively with Agile development teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and architectures.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
